Our friend (BeadPin Bracelet maker) and co-worker Sheila had brain surgery earlier this week to remove her Brain Aneurysm. This bracelet is my "SRJ Brain Bracelet" made just for Sheila.
So what does it mean? The peridot beads symbolizes Sheila's birthstone; the white crystals symbolizes all of Sheila's positive energy that surrounds the dark crystals (which symbolizes the negative energy) which is being pushed out of her positive force by all of her positive energy. The leaf crystal is Sheila turning over a new leaf, as now with all of that negativity out of her body, she can began to heal and enjoy life to the fullest.
She is still in the hospital and recovering well, I might add. She has a journal with pictures. While Sheila's unable to at the moment, the journal entries are being entered by her brother Mark, who is doing a great job in keeping us updated. There's also a guestbook where friends and family can visit and post support. The journal is a Caring Bridge Journal through the St Joseph Hospital.
Feel free to take a look. If you know of someone that has been through brain surgery or you are someone that has gone through this ordeal, or even if you haven't or don't know of anyone, still post Sheila a message. I'm sure that she'd love to hear from you.

Here is something I thought really funny.
Check out this blog post about my Troubled Country...
Finally finished Troubled Country. It's been done for at least a month now and is in Florida. It'll be up for sale come 01Nov2007 at the Frenchmans Market, in Plant City, FL
at the new location:
Vendor #10
Doing this piece gave me a chance to practice on my wire wrapping. Each beaded headpin has been wire wrapped around each hook on the expansion bracelet. So this was indeed literally and in all sense of the word a challenge for me.
Here is the final picture:
Well I don't have a picture yet because my camera is sickly. So once it's back from the camera hospital,
I'll be back in business.
Right now, I'm working on this expandable bracelet. It will have a menagerie of reds, blues, pinks and silver seed beads.
I got the idea from a necklace ("SPIKED", By Jean Power" pg 28) in my Summer 06 issue of Step by Step Wire Magazine. I'm not even half done and wish I could post some pictures as I go along. I'll see what I can do about that. Stand By.
Until next time, Bead On!
These are items that were created so that I could practice my wire loops. Still need lots of practice. Practice makes perfect.
The last three bracelets were created the week following my beading frenzy weekend. Not sure if I'd posted those yet. I had trouble finding the right color clasp for the 3 strand bracelet. The color used was as close as I could get to match the chandelier earring parts used. Her birthstone is Garnet so I used a combination of two colored stones, one 8mm rose bi-cone; and two 8mm garnet bi-cones accented with 5mm bi-cone & faceted rose and cube amethyst stones then ending with all sterling findings.
It looks like it turned out okay. I will give it to her this weekend as a special Easter gift.
