Went car shopping today. Looking at the Hyundai Elantra SE. I'm very, very excited. I'm 36 years old and this would be my first new car!
So, if I want a new car, I have to make extra $ so I've been listing more on ebay...
Here's tonight's addition: Over 6 feet of handmade lampwork beads - odds and ends, test beads, and fun beads!
Check them out: ORPHANS by CALUMEY

Well, after a sucky start to my day yesterday, I managed to be quite productive. I've been putting off photographing a new bead set for quite some time. Mainly because they are all clear glass and qutie difficult to get a picture that will do them justice.
Now listed on Ebay...Ice Sculpture by Calumey :) <--- Click to see the auction!
What do you think? Do the pictures do them justice?

Yes, I'm probably the last person (make that girl) on earth that hadn't seen the movie or read the book.
Well, since warm weather graced us today in NY, I headed to the new Tanger outlets in my neighborhood and treated myself to a movie.
As always, I ran late. However, I HAD to get my $5 popcorn and $5 soda making me miss the first few minutes of the movie. No regrets. I will be owning this movie when it comes out on DVD and watch it over and over again. It was such a sweet, funny and charming movie.
My favorite quote: "They said I was a valued customer, now they send me hate mail."
Of course, being in the outlets, I also HAD to check out the stores and see what good deals I could get. A few things made it home with me, which, of course, I didn't need. I am very happy to report that the most expensive thing I bought was $15.
My income has slowed down quite a bit. Yes, the economy has put a damper on everyone's shopping. However, it leads me to wonder about something. What makes a real life shopaholic? Is it that you have to spend - no matter what - to feel better. To get that jolt of something. Even if it's spending $3 on a cup of coffee or $5 on a t-shirt at Old Navy? Or, do you have to spend hundreds upon hundreds on a designer piece to boost your self- confidence? Is it bad to want to shop?
Is it possible to justify that $3.00 spent and say that every little bit helps the economy? What do you think?
I believe that yes, a little bit can go a long way. My few dollars spent in someone else's etsy shop, can lift their spirits, encourage them to keep going and maybe help them pay a bill or two. It can allow them to shop in someone else's little shop, and so on and so on. Just keep it under control AND DON'T GET IN DEBT!!!
Well, I'm off to browse etsy. Those $5 in my paypal account are burning a hole in my computer :)
I've been working out and making beads. I thought when you work out you get energized. What gives?
Well I'm off to watch Wall-E and bundle up under the blankets. Just think of it as practice for the end of the week when that artic cold blast will hit us here in NY!
Speaking of cold, ok COOL...Minesweeper on ETSY

During the last two weeks of the year, I threw caution to the wind. I declared myself on vacation from everything. Didn't care what I ate, didn't care that I sat on the couch days at a time catching up on my recorded shows, renting movies and neglecting all things domestic. Yes, I was a lazy slob (although I still did manage to shower and brush my teeth). I didn't worry at all that I hadn't made any beads to sell in ages and my 2 day a week part time job was down to one day or no days.
I was content - sort of. I knew I was wasting my days. I was whittling my life away. However, in the back of my head I knew that change for the better was just around the corner. I had my sights set on Monday, January 5, 2009. Aiming for January 1st was futile as it was way too close to the weekend.
I'm happy to report that two days of effort and accomplishments have come to an end as I write this. I have managed to walk for one hour on the treadmill at a pretty steep incline. I opted for healthier food choices and I'm happy to say, I'm happy. The career area still needs improvement, but hey, one step at a time.
I did manage to photograph some goodies and the results were fantastic. I'm sporting a new bead avatar in my ETSY shop. Wanna see????
Why is it that a brand spankin' new year always makes you feel like the world is your oyster and anything and everything good will happen?
Hey, I'm not turning my nose up at this fantasticly wounderful feeling.
I got my resolutions in mind. Of course, they don't officially start until next Monday. This new year's is just way too close to the weekend. Why bother, right?
I've spent about 3 hours of my day talking on the phone to my best friend as she drives 5 hours to visit her family for the weekend.
Woo hoo, I say! Keeping in touch with loved ones is one of my resolutions...ehm... goals...desires...for the year.
I also managed to update my ETSY shop. All prices were reduced for clearance as I want to start with new inventory next week....
Take a peek, you just might find a set of beads to fall in love with at a bargain of a price! See, you're already improving your profit margin in this new year :)
